Re: Inexpensive Music Servers

When you purchase a computer case they many times come with a power supply.
They are rated by the max output they can supply and seldom ever get close to using their rated output......

Inexpensive Music Servers

While you guys are talking about all these tremendously expensive music servers....I think the Sunfire version is about $5k or $6K I've been building computers for fun and profit (more fun than profit these days) for 18 years. I currently have two inexpensive models for sale on the local Denver Crai...

Re: Remote For HR-895 AV Receiver

The HR-895 is listed in the harmony/logitec database. However, there are only limited commands available. The harmony remotes are set up by "activities". There seems to be custom activity you can create for the center channel volume but nothing for the sub or rear/surround channels. The method for o...

Re: Remote For HR-895 AV Receiver

What you can download from logitec is pretty limited. Commands are NOT available for adjusting rear, center & sub volumes. These controls are also not available on the unit itself.

Remote For HR-895 AV Receiver

I have a HR-895 that I just repaired but I do not have a remote for it. I believe it uses a RH-89. I am looking to buy, borrow or rent a remote so I can copy the functions to a universal remote like a harmony or Sima that I already have. I also have a parts list and schematics for this unit (in PDF ...

This module was tested in another HR-895 and works fine......

The remotes (their are two) work fine .....

Thanks...

Re: NewBees must smell bad

Yeah, this is elitest syndrome gone wild.........
It's not like owning a piece of carver gear makes you special or somethin...
You, if you keep the group contolled ...well, I guess it's safer that way....

I wonder if Bob Carver approves of this elitest separation.....?

Maybe someone should ask...

NewBees must smell bad

So if I flood the site with 50 meaningless posts Then I will be allowed to post with the BIG BOYS?

Isn't there any kind of affirmative action program for Carver non-Elitests?
