Yes, but mine has 100hp pedals :-)I might trailer the Magna. MAXXXX, you bringing a scoot? Yes, I might make it. I'll know tomorrow when I get to wo...

Motor Toad wrote I'd think it's possible that the -55 is a mild update of the -45. I can't think of another reason, anyway, since the difference between 375 Wpc and 380 Wpc is about 0.005 dB but it might look like a bump up on paper The TFM-45 looks to be a completely different animal. The interior...

We have a POS poacher

Those of you watching are aware I've been nursing a Lightstar deal for the past several weeks. Now on my M/C lists it's vorbotten to poach a deal someone else is working on, but if it falls through it's up for grabs, no harm no foal if the deal doesn't get brokered to the first buyer. Violate this a...

I didn't notice the microphonics problems with my valves(6DJ8s) other C-19 owners over the years have mentioned. WTF, for $9.95 I'll give the tube dampers a try. I've run it with the top off and actually tapped on the tubes and haven't heard a thing. I'm going to do some serious listening after it g...

Replies after 3 months....not bad =D> I was asking right after joining the forum. I'll give tubeman a ring when the C-19 returns. The SD/A-490t sounds fine since I got the CD door fixed, cost $1.00 for the belt and about 5 minutes to install. I was reading somewhere on the 'net it sounded even bette...

TNRabbit wrote believe the nominal safe input power on the Silvers is approximately 700 watts, so don't get cheap on them. The Carver speakers are very inefficient so if you like your music loud, you'll want as much amp as you can afford. Exactly right. Big power, Big accurate sound. These things l...

I have both the C-1 and C-19. C-19 is a great tube untit if valves float your boat, I was told by a forum member that the C-16 had both tube and SS transfer functions, a VREY cool and versatile ability. I'd pick it up, unless it's out of your price range.

Whilst this thread continues, Carver speakers, at least the Silver Edition ALS can(and has) taken repeated 1000watt hits. No crossover damage to report. There is a Carver Pro/PMX active electronic crossover on Eprey for sale as I write this.... interested parties look here: http://cgi.ebay.com/CARVE...

BillD wrote You're right, I didn't check the slope. At 12 dB per octave, the low pass filter would have to have an inductor in series and a capacitor in parallel with the load. wkhanna wrote I see you are in Ohio, we are practically neighbors! Were you having a problem with your C-19, or just getting a tune-up? It had issues in the output stage(and possibly others) but Rolland will bring it back up to spec and all will be good in Ray's World. It's one hell of a preamp and...
