You guys forget they're from up north, eh. They live, love and exist SOLELY at the expense of the American taxpayer. Without my service(and George, David's and any of the rest of you Vets I haven't named)Canada is just another 3rd world dump. For shit currency, nevermind the fact they give NOTHING b...

digital ranted Now, if you are so sure that there are ‘many’ unsighted evaluations of speaker and RCA cables which demonstrate 10/10 (or at least some other >statistically valid< representation of fact), that easily identifiable / audible differences exist between said wire: please poi...

One last thing: Consider no other changes were made in my system other than the amplifier(Carver M500t) the AN-9s sounded like shit driving my Silvers. I installed some old Monster 10 gauge wire and they sounded great....imagine that?

Requesting ALIII advise/technical help

I bought a mint ALIII crossover last week on e-prey. Got it resonably enough I guess but I need some close-up pick of how it's wired to the drivers. It's like new and I'd hate to destroy it wiring it in wrong. I bought it to use a kind of direction I want my new Silver crossovers to take. I plan to ...

mikekohut asked Great, and makes sense, and a wire-exchange outlet would appear to be a great thing; however, where the hell does one start? E.G., my own system??? Possibly the most intuitive question asked in this discussion to date. but before I get into it, think about this...you ever go to a fr...

Treitz3 wrote Author's name Kenneth Swauger Polk Customer Service In my opinion, it is the DC resistance of the wire that seems to be the most important characteristic, of the speaker wire, with frequencies below 600Hz. In other words when we are dealing with upper bass and lower bass sounds the res...

audioassasin77 wrote this incident kept me from buying the silvers, and also immediately put my ALIIIs into retirement. perhaps when the young one gets older and less active. stereo dog : I have an M500t, and like it alot. A seriously musical amp. On the subject of TTs, I ordered 3 replacement stylii for my V15-III-G. 2 standard and 1 Super Analogue. Tonight I was fooling around with my TT and managed to pull one of the cables out of it. The center wire in the cable just...

TT cartridge blues/outrageous gear prices

I've been trying to dub copies of some of my favorite LPs to CD on my Tascam CC-222 MKII. During the first session I 'lost' the needle off the stylus of my Shure V15-III-G. This cartridge was one off the few I've ever heard that was able to track the cannon shots from the Telarc DG-10041 (1979) of T...

treitz3 sez We are not making a profit, though. We are sharing information that was included in the sale of a particular Carver item. Which, by the way, was included in the original sale of the item to begin with. If we were to sell the original boxes, would Phoenix Gold have a problem with that? W...
