Bill : Have you checked the tubes. Open the C-19 up and switch the tubes around. IIRC they're in the tone, phono and output stages. On an entirely different matter, I've been hitting the M500t hard lately, I figured since my replacement ribbon is here I could afford to push the envelope. Bitch of it...

C-1 vs. C-19

Alot has been said of the audible differences between components, even those of the same manufacturer. Tonight I decided to pull my beloved C-19 out of the rack and put the C-1 in its place. I've been running an M500t in place of my pair of TFM-55s(back tomorrow)so I thought I'd get the C-19 on its ...

I got an email from Ron tonight. My TFM-55s are on their way here, he said they'll be here Thursday. Earlier I had a long conversation with Dave S. and my ribbon repair attempt. I have to fetch a few things at Home Despot. Wish me luck, y'all [-o< on another note: I've been going over x-over schemat...

TNRabbit wrote So what, exactly, is an Ass Cap? Is it like an Ass Hat? That was Big Ass Capacitor. And, no Red, I don't wear my ass for a hat :-) A long time ago I thought that if you could store(for lack of a better word/technique) alot of power, or had a big-honkin' powersupply you'd get BIG SLAM...

Bill : I spoke to Ron about the issues with my C-19. He said Rita doesn't work on the tube stuff but she might know whats up with mine from my description of the problem. But like you, it'll probably end up out with Rolland.

I spoke with Ron a couple of hours ago on the phone to arrange the return of my TFM-55s. I let them know how much CCR has meant to me and passed on many of the comments made here. For the duration of their move Ron asked that you show some patience with them. It sounded like they are going to build ...

I have a C-9 and on certain program material and ANYTHING you use with headphones, it work wonders. I really dig it. I also find it works better on my LPs than it does with CDs. Hey stuckinthe70s, one of the forum members is from Mansfield and works in Bucyrus and another is a Fireman in Marion. Sma...
