My Listening Pleasure...

Finally, up and running with a Carver TFM-45 amplifier, Carver CT-23 pre-amp/tuner, Carver SD/A-360 CD Player and Carver Silver Amazing Speakers, all in mint condition. Quite the upgrade from the JVC system (JR-S301 receiver) that was my first big purchase with my own money when I was fifteen so many years ago. :-)

What's interesting is I had no idea I was even going to put this system together a short month ago. It just popped into my head one day and here it now is. I'm happy to have joined this board and am looking forward to soaking up all the Carver knowledge I can from fellow Carver enthusiasts.

Cheers,
Michael

Re: My Listening Pleasure...

Welcome, Mike.

Now the real question....How does it sound?

When I went from a Sherwood receiver to a Carver Pre amp and power amp I was really surprised at how much more sound there was to familiar records.

Frank.

P.S. I have a set of Amazing Silvers too.

The best speakers I've ever owned.

Hi Frank,

I'm really loving the sound so far. Among other types of music I like jazz and put on a CD by the Swedish pianist, Bobo Stenson, and his trio the other day. In a word, stunning! It was if they were right there in front of me. I'm just wondering if I jumped the gun on the Carver CT-23 pre-amp I bought. After doing some research I'd really like for find a C-19. Others have recommended the C1 or C7.

Cheers,
Mike
