Why couldnt a PT-2400 be "voiced" to sound like the TFM-75 or at least get close. They share alot of the same internal components and circuitry. Sort of a poor boys TFM-75. Doesnt Bob just put a 1 ohm resistor across the rca inputs to soften the tone? Enquiring minds want to know :-s

What Bob said was that if you put a 1 ohm resistor in series with the +lead of the speaker wire you will get about 70%-80% of the "tube" sound.
You certainly should try it !

Interesting question. I wonder what be involved. I know they sound different but have you compared them back to back yet so you can give us some details about the difference?

If I recall. The 2400 has a ton of components missing from the preamp board as compared to the 75.
