It's a slippery slope once you start that kind of action. Your site...your rules...but that's my 2 cents.

Trav, I understand what you're saying but that is not why his site links are censor shit???..... Awww Hell No They Didin't !!!! ..... We censor shit???..... Awww Hell No They Didin't !!!! .... OO's links because after the fallout between him and any fellow members, all he posted since were links to his site. (The links had to go somewhere, so dad made it funny)
There are only 3 censor shit???..... Awww Hell No They Didin't !!!! .... things on this site, two of them are his links, the third is "censor shit???..... Awww Hell No They Didin't !!!! ...."

As far as my beef with OO, I had to move on, otherwise I was afraid of being accused of gay bashing Homo the Clown...

Like him or not Bill is a member here, he should be able to post what he wants and every other member should be able to as well. If there is something that doesn't interest you or offends steer away from the thread nobody forces you to do anything. Let's not fall into what was going on at the other site.

The fact that bill is here does speak volumes of all of us. Even though we took each other through the mud, we are all here to talk another day. Yes bill went too far, i go too far, we go too far. In the defence though, his effort was to make it better. Sound familiar?

You're right, I don't know the history. I know Bill can be "abrasive" to put it mildly. But that doesn't offend me, I like to kknow where I stand with people and with Bill, you never have to wonder. I'm certainly not an active member here, so it's not like I'm trying to "throw my weight around", but the tying of his posts to gay porn sites and pedophile references seems to be crossing every imaginable line.

One of the reasons I enjoy this site because I feel it is free spirited. We talk about audio but we have fun with it with all the side humor. There are disputes or just plain fights but it doesn't last and everybody moves on. People leave but always come back it seems. Keep things loose and keep the fun.

Yeah Bill is abrasive, but so are a few other people here and they are my friends too. There will always be personality clashes but that's just life. It doesn't make anybody a bad person.

OO makes it interesting! Whether you agree with his opinion or not.

Some of the people (from the other site?)'on here lately are coming across far more abrasive.

Call it what you will. Bill was a complete asshole. I choose not to promote his website.

Providing a forum that allows free speech is not the same as providing a forum that allows SPAM links to other sites.

There are lots of forums that allow free speech, but implement policies that prohibit commercial advertisements from non-sponsors of the site. There's nothing wrong in doing that.

The idea of using the profanity filter to change his links to a nambla site is both funny and in bad taste. You may not think it's fair, but I imagine that once OO sees this happening he'll quickly learn that posting spam links isn't going to help him, and he'll stop. In some respects, we have to consider that James plan worked beautifully.

I see this as both funny and as crossing the imaginary line. I'm not familiar with the back story, but it sounds like OO did something to piss off the site owner and in doing that he made his own bed. Now he gets to lie in it. If he stops posting unwanted links, that imaginary line will stop being crossed. I think that stopping the unwanted links was Toymaker's plan from the beginning. It seems to have worked. Now that OO knows not to post his links, the problem ceases to exist.

BTW, that clown photo just seems wrong in so many ways...

It was all done to make it better. Unlike the planning that james and tom did, bill said i can do it better. With a lack of experience it started to swirl out of control as bill imposed to a degree what he thought. Nothing new there. The real issue for me came when he bought amps and did not gather the parts himself. He left it to be handled. Well, bob was short on some parts, transformers. Not that he did not have more, they were in Washington and he did not know were. So, there were some amps i think that alex got for all his troubles with the chassis perhaps, idk, but alex was to have a few to build and sell. Well , when things came up short, and after the pissing contest ended, alex gave up his personal amps i believe. He gave them to bill because we could not lay our hands on the rest of the order. So, after many emails back and forth, i swore i would correct the problem. But bill would not let go and proceeded to bash the sauters for doing nothing more than accommodating the group and bob. So, by that, in bills eyes, james was the lead. James hated and did not want the job of collecting money. I can say that i watched the tens of thousands handed to bob right before he left to go home on a plane. Because of james collecting the money, he got dumped on beyond reason i thought from bill.

Now tom on the other hand, with no money paid to him, for the love of doing good coordinated much of the talks with watershed and got us the great deals. So now johnny come lately dives into how it can be done better. This all blows up when we as a group took over the rabbit and oo's cabin for the build without a hey bill whatcha think. He came to a very expensive cabin he paid for to be over run by the build. As a group build, for many reason, their cabin best suited the build. So, cabin taken over, his amps come up short, he simply was angry and with reason. The interesting part is bill was very accommodating while there, but then when it was all over, he went on line and proceeded to bust balls for the sake of simply busting balls ( sauters mainly here). I took a real resentment that it all went down the way it did, but again, this was all in a effort to make carverfest better through even more planning via bill. So, i left out a few things like bill paid not once but twice to have those transformers delivered even though i told him not to. Well in the end i got those dollars for the effort. That is a condensed, missing a part or two, maybe a error or two also in what i wrote, but the gist of it all i think.
