Alex and I played pool just last week.
All this stuff was on the workbench in the garage.
Just brought it back inside to get to work on it.
Way too hot to work in the garage in summer in FL

Re: Silver-7 restoration / update

In the end I really wasn't happy with the finish from the powder coater. There was too much "orange peel" for a high end finish. So I'm spending all week wet sanding the powder back down to a 600 grit silky smooth finish. I started with the 2 tube chassis 1st because they will be the hardest. I'll be going over the powder with PPG 2-stage automotive. Guess the old saying is true... If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Wow! This really brings on a bad case of tube envy. Maybe we can see and hear at Carverfest 2015??

Re: Silver-7 restoration / update

This set will be up on the chopping block long before CF 2015.
This set was more of an investment.

We do have 4 other sets of Silver tube amps.
But we've been traveling pretty light the last few years to CF.
Not sure in lugging 300 pounds of amplifiers is in the future or not.
