The Possible Resurrection of CARVER Corp....

Bob and I have been talking for a few weeks about this...
I am pretty convinced that the CARVER name is still alive in many audio circles, and still has enough clout in the audio world to justify its resurrection.

There is still worry over the markets perception of "CARVER", and the fiasco that it succumbed to in early 2000 at the hands of others.

10 years have gone by now... Is 10 years enough time?
Is it time to pull a great name from the ashes, dust it off, and give it a new shine?

I was told today.... "If that's what you want, we'll do it"

I am obviously honored to be part of anything that Bob is involved with !!
But this is BIG... I don't know how the audio world would react to the CARVER name today.
Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it's very important that you do it... because nobody else will.

Re: The Possible Resurrection of CARVER Corp....

Cool; like "Alien Resurrection", but with "Carver Resurrected"~

I think you you have a brainstorming session for a specific name with everyone, and the one you pick gets a pair of the new speakers~

I like "Carver: We're BAAAA-AAAAAACK!"

or

"Carver: The Sequel"

or

"BOB Audio"

or

"Carver Audio Creations"

or

"Carver Creative Concepts"

or

"Carver Innovations"

or

"Inspired Designs by Carver"

or

"Clever Creations by Carver"

or

"Creative Designs Imagined by Carver"

you get the idea~

:-"

James, you realize this news is going to spread like WILDFIRE, right?

I doubt that will be a bad thing ?

But I also know, any new CARVER Co. will never be the same as the old CARVER Corp....
We talked about that too.... It can never be the same as it was, with today's market.

But either way, it would be wonderful just to see the name being placed on high end products once again !!!
Let's make it happen !!!!!!!!

I think Bob would need to pick from this group to make a new board of directors or a board of trustees that would carry his name and legacy into the future! I would not like to see what happened before happen again! Eddie!

I think that a board of directors is a bit premature, and besides... were they not the ones that caused all the troubles in the first place?

Let Bob enjoy is craft and we will all benefit as a result.

Re: The Possible Resurrection of CARVER Corp....

One thing's for sure: you'll need a (another!) truly innovative product that would really set the audio world on fire in order to pull it off. So much competition (both high and low end!) today. You need something really radical and cool. No idea what that might be. A powerful totally digital amp? A totally new way of producing amplified music? Think, man, think!
Family room: 400 disk changer with PS Audio Digital Link III DAC; Technics SL-1100A TT. QED Quenx1 IC's from DAC & TT to Adcom GTP-602 preamp/Tuner. AudioQuest King Cobra IC's from preamp to M1.0t mk-II opt2. QED Silver Spirals 4M wires to EPI 1000’s.
Living room: AudioQuest Black Mamba 8M IC's from family room preamp to Barcus-Berry 2002R Sonic Maximizer to GlowPower Zyxt IC's to Sunfire 300x2 to Nordost 6M bi-source wires to AOS 28" MDF spherical speakers using six 8" woofers and eight 1" dome tweeters symm. arranged around the surface.
SS system: CX-995V DVD to AV-705x 5 channel amp (center/rears) & M1.0t mk-II opt2(fronts).
Garage: TLM-3600 CDP to MXR150 Receiver (pre) to TFM-42 to EPI 400 speakers.

My, my, my....and these are the days of our lives...

Man, how times change. Part 13 of the CF interviews....within the first couple of seconds the question was asked about the Carver Corp. coming back. Just watch it to find the answer....

It is found in CF '08, Bob's interviews if you aren't familiar with the forum.
