Carver AL III Plus Ribbon

I am in need of information about the Ribbon driver in my Carver AL III Plus. I need a new one but can find out if it is a standart BG RD48 Driver or a special production. Where end how to find a new one?

Best Regards

Re: Carver AL III Plus Ribbon

FYI:The Carver ribbons are not B&G. The B&G are different ribbons & require a different crossover.

Re: Carver AL III Plus Ribbon

You can not go wrong rebuilding the carvers. I have mine redone a couple of year ago now and love them as they sound as good as they did new.

Re: Carver AL III Plus Ribbon

I would suggest to have both rebuilt at the same time as they will not sound the same if you get only one done. The rebuild is better than what came from the factory.
Some cool Carver stuff!

Re: Carver AL III Plus Ribbon

Shipping 2 ribbon assemblies back and forth overseas is going to be bloody expensive.
Political Correctness...defined

A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

In a recent press conference, President Obama remarked, "If I had a city, it would look just like Detroit."
