OK. I'm not sure what's going on, but I just got a call from Watershed telling me that the Cabin I booked and Paid for is not available. That Robert Remington has it booked. However, when I called, it was not reserved. Now, they are trying to get me to take a cabin that is "off location". What's the deal?

I did. She seemed confused. I told her that I booked it several weeks ago. She told me that someone must have made a mistake and double booked the cabin. She also told me that the lofts and treehouses were available, but I know people already posted in the thread that they were taken. So, it looks like I need to figure something else out.

Do you have a copy of your Email confirmation for the booking. If so give them a call back and give them the date of the booking.
Ask to talk to a manager, and remind them you are with Carverfest.

Also double check the dates and be aware that most Cabins will have more than one person.

Is it possible that you are in the Cabin with Robert R ? He, I & Bob shared a cabin 3 years ago.

Just sayin'.

The lady called me today to say that there was a mistake and the Cabin was double booked. She asked if I would be willing to take the Fontana cabin, but that it is "off site". I'm not sure how it works with having multiple renters, but I was under the impression that when I paid the deposit, I was renting the entire cabin. Since this is my first time attending, I don't really know how it all works. I sent Robert a PM, so hopefully he will get back with me soon and we can figure it all out!

Re: Cabin Reservations for CARVERFEST 2013 SEP 11-25 2013

From speaking with Harry, him being a former Newbie, he feels newbies would be better. Suited in taking a treehouse which is ideal for one person/couple unless they are rooming with someone else in a watershed. Leaves the other areas for those diehards who come every year faithfully and is probably less expensive for those who haven't attended and know the deal yet. .

I could be wrong, but as a newbie myself, I would have been rooming (and paying my share) with others in waatershed or renting a treehouse had I been able to come. Guess that means I agree with Harry.

When all four Treehouses are occupied by Carverfest members Stereo equipment is allowed, so newbies taking them up would also allow ample "play time" too.
It is cruel, you know, that music should be so beautiful. It has the beauty of loneliness of pain: of strength and freedom. The beauty of disappointment and never-satisfied love. The cruel beauty of nature and everlasting beauty of monotony. - Benjamen Britten

Re: Cabin Reservations for CARVERFEST 2013 SEP 11-25 2013

I guess that's why the details and "requirements" need to be laid out. I asked, on this thread, what cabins were available. I was told that Watershed 2 was available, so I called and reserved it for the days that I planned on attending. I wanted a 2 BR, because I have invited someone else to attend as well.

You did everything right but it seems they (the cabins) made an error.

I agree with shortcake you will be better off staying in treehouse (1 bedroom) on "the mountain" than going offsite.

Chck the first post here to see what may be available in other cabins.

Good luck.
