SubRosa at CF '15?

Is anyone bringing the Sunfire SubRosa Flat Panel Subwoofer to Carver Fest this year?

Re: SubRosa at CF '15?

Are you considering purchasing one? I've had two sets and honestly was not that impressed by them. They look great under the flat screen and actually blend kind of well with the CRS / CRM Sunfire line but the Subrosa doesn't seem to hit nearly as low or have the same level of output as the traditional Truesub, which I recognize is probably due largely to room positioning. It would probably be fine for low level music listening matched with the Sunfire speakers but I would still run a dedicated LFE sub for movies. Hope this helps.

Re: SubRosa at CF '15?

I've been considering the SubRosa and wanted to hear one first. There was a used one recently on CL for $1,800 which is getting down in my ballpark
Thanks for the info.

I had a Subrosa. I also had a JL F-112 Fathom.

I miss the Fathom.
On the hunt for a F-113 now

You can buy a brand new set from save on audio for less than that with a 1 year warranty. I've purchased from them before and they're legit.

Sub cabinet $1170: http://save-on-audio.com/store/product_ ... tvb8fqopo0

Amp $530: http://save-on-audio.com/store/product_ ... s_id=10688

Again, unless you're into eye candy over performance I really can't give them a solid recommendation. Save on Audio sells the EQ 12 NEW for almost half the price and double the performance at $1050: http://save-on-audio.com/store/product_ ... ml3q0n2nm5
Sunfire Theater Grand III

Thank you for that Jesse. With the recent failure of my True Subwoofer Signature I was beginning to become enthralled with the SubRosa in all it's beauty and a review said it compared favorably with Bob's cubes.
Thanks for the candid comments, and on that note I sent you a message on eBay.

Did you run both at the same time? I was thinking of going the multiple subrosa route. I actually wanna run one in each corner which would be 4 and that incorporates the "swarm" principle and should smooth out the room anomalies and add 24db worth of sound pressure. That should on paper result in about 134db's

I'd give up some ultimate extension for the simple fact that I don't want a bunch of boxes or one huge box in my space. These can sit up up against the wall and they look quite sharp. Same shape and style as my CRS-3C's..

I just picked up a subrosa amp with a low ball offer on eBay last night. I'm now slinking around for the sub...
