There will be a fixed number of kits, and we want them all to get homes. But when they're gone, that's it – no more.
The following list is correct, as best I can make it, at this moment. There are a few extra kits, and several forum guys whose claim to buy an amp was pretty weak are on a 'contingency list', and may well get one, but things are still somewhat nebulous. By mid-April we'll be a lot more certain. But even then there may be dropouts, so a kit or two might turn up for grabs up to the last minute, and Bob won't want any left-overs.

I have listed those getting kits below, using forum names and whether one or two. The list starts off roughly in cabin order, and devolves from there:

Zoothorn 1
Nahash (Greg) 2
RobertR 2
Magnaryder 2
Mbkseam 2

Wow - 62 amps if I counted correctly... Talk about a bunch of weight !!!

Thanks to Bob, Robert and Ed for putting this in motion.

For the first time in ~30 years my beloved M1.0t brothers are in danger of being replaced in the main listening system.

I can't wait to get some ear time on these babies !!!

Well. one of us isn't counting correctly - I get 66, every time. And it gets worse - there are three more that I neglected to list for Ed (sea). Radioengineer2 got omitted, and he's in for two. And Dnspy007 is shown as one, but his should have been two as well. So 69 at this point, and a few more to go to guys on the list of hopefuls. At this point we could use a couple more; then everybody who previously asked for a kit would have one. I don't want to be the one to make the call, but will if I have to. However, once the first payments are in, showing everyone's commitment (and no dropouts), I hope to talk Bob into making just a couple more, so nobody goes away unhappy. But remember, the guys on this last list are really not entitled under Bob's rules, so it might be tough.

Not much more for me to do on this subject for a while, except send in some money to Ed, like everybody else. By sometime in April the last kits should be allocated. Then we can all just wait for Bob to get everything done, somehow.

RobertR, I have a question. Not holding you to anything here just wondering if the initial $350 plus final $300 is for the amp kit only with no tubes at all?

Thanks for all your doing!

The original price was to be $575 with KT-88s, but Bob decided to do what most everybody wanted and upgrade to KT-120s - you get one-third more power, and they sound just as good. He hasn't nailed the exact price difference yet. My guess of $650 was deliberately a bit on the high side of what I expect it will be. Anybody who wants them tubeless will be able to get a rebate right at the Fest, though don't ask me how much that would be. He will also bring some KT-88's and 6L6s as well.

Thank you to all of you that have responded to my request for information. If there is an * by your name theN I have either not heard from you or did not already have the information. What I really wanted was email address, mailing address probably not needed. Many provided cell numbers. This would be good for me to have just in case.

So, if you are branded below with an *, please send me an email at CfAmpBuild@gmail.com. Please include you forum name, your real name, cell phone number and i will have your email address from the email.

Thanks, Ed
