I used natural rubber roll surround myself. Glad they are extra extra large so the used ones fit perfectly for the 12" carver woofers. :-$

I need 6 for my Silver ALS's.
My Platinums have been refoamed in the past with a thick foam. So I suppose it would be best to get 8 as well for those.
14 for me please.

Anyone taking the above post seriously, you know I don't find any rubber surround for my Plats. It's a JOKE and a bump for the thread for others to see the surround project.

And a little kick on the ToyMaker's butt to see he got any news for us! :lol: :lol: :lol:

I'd commit to 20. My understanding from Doug Purl( a Carver ribbon aficionado) was that the surrounds were formed in a custom press and made by squashing 3 normal surrounds together with high pressure and heat.
When i talked to Bob C. awhile back, he wasn't sure where that press had ended up....


But, if you've got it; or can replicate them somehow, pencil me in.

This is for making replacement surrounds from foam to rubber? butlye i suspect?
