If i can find some details of the original Foam surround's specs....hope that will help for making new Butyl Rubber surrounds instead.

I shall do my best and give it a shot....i need those surrounds myself.
Thing is....i'll only have a short time doing this when i arrive in Hong Kong.
Since time is crucial inwhich the correct specs is essence.
Not sure how much difference in sound between Foam vs Rubber surround.[color=#0000BF][color=#0000BF][/color]

Well, look at that huge Xmax number (in mm). That's essentially half of the travel the cone needs to move (half the voice coil length). Any surround that limits that movement will not make a good substitute.

And from that info a speaker manufacturer will be able to figure out what the surround should be.

From inner to outer size is respectively:203mm/216mm/264mm/286mm

The need for these are great - owners in need of replacement surrounds could sure breath easier if surrounds were available over the high cost of new Drivers. I hope this issue ever gets solved.

True but there prices go from there to $90 and $90 x 8 is high and that is when they have them. I waited almost a year for them to get more in (CRAZY). On my budget $430 was a lot to replace all 8 woofers and I got them cheap!

Sad thing is the woofers are fine - they just need new surrounds and the Original woofers were better made at least I think they were not sure what others opinions would be.

I bet this is why I have blown so many fuses on my first pair over the years. The foam I had a local shop put on is closer to rubber egg carton than soft glove. It got them working, but at a stress price.

I will take 200 to start.
