Cerwin Vegas, Music and Harry

So, many of you may know that I got the Cerwin Vega speakers Harry brought down to CarverFest last year. He tells me you guys had them cranking.

I say not so - I had them cranking yesterday and blew both speaker fuses at one time....So, did you guys really have it cranking or did you just turn up the batteries in your hearing aides?

Jesus - I didn't even have it loud by my standards.

Apparently, someone doesn't know what loud is. Better get a stockpile of fuses now - I am sure won't be the last time....

Re: Cerwin Vegas, Music and Harry

Are they slo-blow or fast blow fuses?

A slo-blow can get toasty over time with repeated beatings then give up the ghost at a lower volume than would normally blow....

Either way, glad they were FUSED & that it wasn't anything catastrophic~ =D>

Re: Cerwin Vegas, Music and Harry

they were slo-blow.....and no excuses for the whole "over time crap". I got ribbed for having it too loud? You guys may know systems - but you don't know LOUD - that's for sure lol.

I keep hearing how they were cranking at Carverfest lol. Now, I had them cranking, what you guys listen to them on volume level 2?

and I am especially glad only that as well.

I guess you can say that men THINK they can smoke some speakers - but it takes a lady to blow them two at a time - and do it right. I's got talent lol.

Glad to hear it was something simple. =D> You're lucky they have fuses, fixing blown speakers can be time consuming and some times pretty expensive.

Yes simple - this time.

As far being more difficult - I will save that for next time.

Not liking the sound coming from my speakers...

I don't think they are used to music without the Boom boom boom.

Re: Cerwin Vegas, Music and Harry

Absolutely! Never a question in my mind.

Buck Cherry sounds good, so does Theory of a Deadman and GodSmack - and I in that kind of mood today (at least for the next hour or so, before I revert back to some dance music) - so will just stay away form the Eagles, which caused the problem in the first place.
