Going back to school with Bob Carver

Tube EQ? I thought it was going to be a tube crossover?

.....so far there is nothing Bob wants to change.

Yet.

So class is out now for a while. Hopefully next month I will return after another back operation as bob is still in pain with two operations under his belt. Tube pre is what I predict will be next, but what do I know about the way bob thinks,we will see.

I sure did gain alot of hands on with the way you measure frequency response curves with just a tone generator and spl meter. I also got to use a plotter that is pretty cool for doing much of the same just in seconds instead of minutes. I have a clue now on how to use an oscilloscope as well.

I also need to thank tubular Joe as he was very generous with his time to teach me how a tube works and then how the tube amp itself works . As Bob is a master in designing all things audio, Joe is a master in building such things from said schematics. It is the talent that Joe has that makes bobs creations come to life with such detail that they are a work of ark when he is done. Bob is amazed that unlike prior people working with him in the past, joes amplifiers work without issue's or touch ups needed from the first moment they are fired up. I also want to thank Joe as some of my favorite time spent in seattle was spent with him letting me watch as he assembled the amazings tube interface as he would explain as he went on how it would work. Kudos joe as you have a kind and generous soul, and i am a better person for meeting and knowing you. I sure look forward to my next trip to seeing you again along with bob ofcourse and all the other fine folks I meet this past five weeks.

Angelo, it was a great pleasure meeting you and working with you these last few days; you're great with stereo equipment and have a good ear for music, and I can tell that Bob respects you for that... and you cook deliciously! I wish I could find a woman with those three qualities! (I'm just kidding, as you know I'm happily married!)
Seriously, it was great pleasure meeting you, I hope we can continue growing this friendship, you and Alex awesome and I truly enjoyed my time with you and Bob and the ALSs!

Hey Alex, what can I say, man, you're cool, it was great meeting and working with you, I can tell Bob has a lot of appreciation for you and he likes you a lot. As I told Angelo, you guys are awesome, let's keep the friendship going!

to all that are near by in snohomish, you are not forgoten. we ran out of time and the interface box for the new amazings is almost complete. the proof of concept is made and working. bob has to tweak it out now. when i return to washington to continue my adventure, bob will set aside some time for a sneak peak audition of it all. we simply did not have it all 100% when we left, so it is still in the making so to speak. it will be dare i say it, awesome.
