talos dvr's from parts express

i bought a 16 channel system and for the most part, it works great. the problem i am having is getting it to work on my phone and over the internet for home viewing. i got it to work on the local network and that is it. i also can not get it up on my labtop via wifi. it should work the tech said, yet here i am. i bought it from parts express for this exact reason. tech support. anyone here deal with any video surv equipment?

Can't help with your tech issues but have a couple questions about it.

Getting ready to rough in the wiring for my brother's house and plan to add cameras at a later date. What wiring did the camera's require? It's alot easier to pull the wire before the sheetrock is in.
