Frazier Dixielanders

Picked these up for 100 bucks, man I love them. The cabinets resonate when the get rolling and the little Carver amps sounds sick on these.

Re: Frazier Dixielanders

Look like an outstanding buy at that kind of price. Looks like sort of a version of a Onken cabinet or something.

I've heard of Frazier's but never seen or heard any I don't think. If the LF efficiency is anything like the little horn, then you don't need nor really want that kind of power on them.

Origino crossover or running something else? Might be some quality gain from something not at high level.

Re: Frazier Dixielanders

It's a little 2 way design that dates back to the 60's I think

Image
It has a ten inch woofer and crosses over to the horn on top.

I am sure the caps could use a refreshing. I thought about just using the bass bins and adding a Jabo horn or a Smiths horn, but these actually sound kind of nice, so who knows.

Right now I am just listening to them while i work on my A 210s. Most of the speakers I have are high efficiency horn types so I'm usually around the 1 watt mark. I really like 300b tube set ups, but both the Carverfest amps and these VTA20's with EL 84 tunes sound very nice on these speakers.
