2nd Annual B.A.S.S Meetup - Connecticut

It's been a busy month in the shop, and I realized it's almost April!!

Planning of the second B.A.S.S. meetup here at the Bass Pig's Lair is underway and we're floating Saturday April 13 as a possible date. I haven't even finished my OTL VT amplifier project yet, as I've not had time and I decided to cave in and get a power transformer. The cost around $800 to have this custom wound. So the OTL is still in the works.
Also still planning the food arrangements and topics of discussion.

Would like to get some input as to whether this date works for most of you who are interested in attending.

Short notice, but then again, I don't think I'd be welcome.

Hope it goes well for you.

IMO, leave the politics to the political forum, etc...

Now, turn up some music.

Bass pig, do you have updated photos of your lair?

STRONG political differences.

I was going to go further, but will go back to remodel of my living room. That keeps most out of my hair and me out of trouble.

Rather have a brain bleed...but you guys have fun.

I wish I could, but sometimes they keep following me around! I'll never understand why people who hate me to such a degree feel that they must respond to my posts in this manner, rather than ignore them.

Not much has changed since 2009 with the theater. Most new activity is in the laboratory in the other room lately, where countless amplifiers, preamps, turntables, guitar amps, tapedecks, etc,. have made their way through over the past year. There's not much that I want to do for the audio/video, except wait for a true 2.35:1 LED projector to appear on the market with 5000 lumens or better. =P~

I don't hate you. You disconnected from me with a two page letter of disgust. Let's keep it straight. I am online everyday all day pretty much and didnt follow you here - trust me. Hardly the case. I am here for music, fun and lively conversation about any topic at all - same with facebook - you unfortunately did not like the conversation leaning away from the way you wanted it to go.

Have a great day BP....I will too.

As I recall, you threatened to report me to the IRS or some such matter, as you didn't agree with my laissez-faire economic views. I unfriended you because I don't need government snitches on my friends list. I don't know why you bothered to reply to this thread in the first place.

Are you kidding me? What a crock of crap. You have serious issues. really. The conversation had nothing to do with IRS - except what you had to say about it. It was about Women's rights, abortion, the presidency, the economy etc - and I have no problem debating any topic - in a meaningful way - and could care less what anyone does unless they sleep with me - and last I looked when I roll over in the morning you aren't there. You got all pissy because others including myself didn't agree with you, debated in a sensical way, and you couldn't deal with it. Don't come on here and start your twisted crap - because honey - I wrote the book on sarcasm too and I can logic your ass to death - which is what pissed you off.

Now I won't get into the nonsense, and won't carry this further but go ahead, show yourself here like you did on Facebook. You did not just unfriend me, you did several others who disagreed with you and again, in a fantastic whirl of glory - so much so, that they came and connected with me afterward. This is a different place, different time, and I have a headache and work to do - please don't go all teenager here. Most of the men on this forum know better than to test a women's memory of a conversation, especially when it is rude, crude, and socially unacceptable about women, women's rights and politics and yes the economy.

Have a great day and again, hope your meetup goes well. What started out as a joke of sorts has the opportunity to end here or go nasty - ball is in your court.

Re: 2nd Annual B.A.S.S Meetup - Connecticut

FYI, the specific issue was the right to keep what you earn, which you did not agree with, just to set the record straight. I don't argue women's rights, as it's not an issue affecting me, but taxes do and your implied threat was why I unfriended you, not your views on women's rights, of which I have no issue with.

Now, I would appreciate it if you would stop polluting my thread with this completely off-topic and personal matter. It would have been better if you had not posted anything at all, as we would not be having this discussion at all. That was finished last year.

Re: 2nd Annual B.A.S.S Meetup - Connecticut

To bring things back to topic, RSVPs can be addressed to me at basspig@basspig.com.

Depending on how much response I get, I may either move the date much later in the month, or cancel if lack of interest.
