Oppo BDP-83

Post by Jag_97470 » Sun Apr 28, 2013 5:38 pm

Hey guys been awhile! Work has kept me running with little time for much of anything. But one thing for sure is "I will never forget my friends" here at Carveraudio! Wanted to pass on a problem I had with my Oppo BDP-83 last night. Would not play Skyfall 007 (not really a good bond movie in my opinion) but the player would get to Top Menu and lock up every time. Went on the Oppo site and wow! my firmware version was low at 22, with the newest at 59! Undated the player using a usb stick (easy) and walla, movie played fine.
I will try to check in a little more often. Hope everyone is doing well. Late

It's about time we heard from you! Between you and Brock, it's like we don't exist anymore. [-X :-" Glad you checked in Jag. Glad to know you are still with the living. =D>

For the record, it's VOILA (French):

Even though voilà is just one word, it has so many possible meanings - most of which require multiple words in the English equivalents - that I've decided to treat it as an expression.

The first thing to know about voilà is that it's spelled voilà. Please note that the grave accent on the a is obligatory. (See common misspellings at the end of this article.)

Secondly, voilà, which is a contraction of vois là (literally, "see there"), has varied uses and meanings, which are hard to define precisely, so I've provided numerous examples to help make the distinctions clear.

1. Voilà can be a presentative which introduces a visible noun or group of nouns and can mean any of the following: here is, here are, there is, there are. Technically, voilà only refers to things that are farther away (there is/are), while voici is used for close things (here is/are), but in reality voilà tends to be used for all of the above, except when a distinction between two objects is required.
