Boston acoustics a70

Post by angelod307 » Fri Jul 26, 2013 8:11 pm

Last year at a garage sale i picked up a set of a70 speakers needing to be refoamed. Well i did them and it turned out great. Easier than i thought, yet a pain just the same. Well i hooked them up and said wow. Good bass but bright as hell. Maybe that twenty year old 4 micro cap is gonna get a poly swap and maybe , just maybe a bigger resistor to tame it if the cap is not the issue. Simple and good sounding until i started to put a load on them. Then i hooked up the carverfest ribbon towers and they sounded flat, like i turned the treble off. Bobs training has really given me a new appreciation for a set of speakers and what a person may do to get there.
