Some of your favorite music from College Days

Savoy Brown and 10 Years After were 2 of my favorite groups in the early 70's

A couple of Savoy Brown You tube cuts:

Bad Company, Pablo Cruise, Brothers Johnson, BTO, Sabbath, Alice Cooper to name a few. Used to be a concert at Littlejohn about every 3 months put on by the CDC ( Central Dance Committee). No big promotors, just the college kids. Great times sneaking in a bottle of Boone's Farm!!!
In reality, it only matters what it sounds like to YOU!!!

Dang, I took you and Kingman for "Ripple" drinkers, not something more "upscale" like Boone's Farm.

Well here goes....first of all I had 3 Carver 120x2 amps and 2 Alpine 60x2 amps in a single cab Ford ranger. Audio Control 4 way cross over, tweeters in the a/c vents, you get the picture. I was a head banger so to speak..LOL

Metallica, Ozzie, Iron Maiden, The Cult, Great White, King Diamond, Merciful Fate, Vyper, Kick Axe, Icon, Vinnie Vincent, Pretty Maids, Galactic Cowboys, Kings X, Queensryche, Kiss, Pink Floyd, etc etc. If it was played on the radio me and my buds would refuse to listen to it...LOL

The late Cliff Burton from Metallica did hand us a bottle of Absolut vodka out the dressing room window when I boosted by friend up to where he could see inside. My buddy said "hey yall got anything to drink"? and he said hell yea here's you a full bottle have fun. True story.

Re: Some of your favorite music from College Days

I was in grammar school in the 70s, but my parents were music fanatics, and so am I - and I passed it on to my kids.

Dad was a rocker, mom was a go-go dancer for the US Army Fort Bragg (she met my dad there). One told me you either listen to music or you will never drive my car and the other said if you don't dance, you won't date till you're 21. I started my love of music quick and young.

Everything from Humperdink and sinatra and Elvis to Pink Floyd, Rush, Led Zep, Molly Hatchet, Thin Lizzy, and the Charleston to the Hustle and Bus Stop. Didn't matter - music was music - dancing was dancing.

Even my boys appreciate the music from much earlier more than the present. THAT music is lasting and nothing like it anymore.
