A evening hanging out

Post by angelod307 » Mon Aug 26, 2013 12:54 am

Just want to say how much i enjoyed that mark stoped in and chilled with me tonight on his drive back home from virginia. I am so happy to see fellow friends come and eat , listen and laugh for a spell . Cool.

Doh! Martin stopped by. Not mark.

I was stuck in Virginia working every day for 3 months and didn't get a chance to hang out with Rabbit, even though I've been in the same state. So, while I was on my way back to Georgia, he drove an hour each way just to meet up with me for lunch. There was great company and conversation as is to be expected anytime you get to hang with the rabbit. I even got to hear his kickass mobile system, which has the same great speakers he uses in his AL3 woofer upgrade. Hard to believe all of the good, clean, bass you can get out of those things!

Later on, around dinner time, I was getting close to Angelo's neighborhood. I thought it would be nice to support a fellow Carver fan's business and stop in and get a meal. Since I didn't know where it was, I called up Kingman to see if he knew.

The next thing I know, Angelo comes to meet me and leads me there himself. Then, he not only made me a pizza, but he took me (and the pizza) to his house and let me eat it while I listened to his Carverhenge ht setup. It's the living room you wish you could have, but can't due to cost or, you know, wanting to actually have a spouse. Well, Angelo's lets him have it and wow is it cool!

Then, it was off to the new garage, which is more like an audio experimentation laboratory, where we listened to lots of tunes and BSed about audio crap well into the night. Angelo is truly a gracious host. He did all that with no notice at all.

What a great time yesterday was. We've got some seriously top-notch folks here. Thanks for everything, Gary and Angelo.

Good get togethers and good music. It's the best! Well worth going out of your way for and taking the time to do. Glad you guys got the chance.

Actually, that's what Carverfest is....nonstop!! Good folks and good music. And maybe some purty darn good food thrown in too.

Now if we can just get Martin to commit on coming to CF for more...

Mark
I was there "At the Fest!" Hope you were too!

It seems the easiest thing to do for Carverfest is to wait until the last minute and see where the opening is.

Since I never go for the full fest, there really isn't ever a time when it makes sense to reserve.

There's that and then the pricing has never been clear to me.

If Kingman can't make it, I might take over his loft.

Maybe I'll try to rent a bunk from the Cabin 5 folks.

Heck, I might have to work.

The only thing that is for sure is that it's always a great time.
