Re: Holiday....Time to go car shopping

A friend I worked with for many years sold his 1970 Super bird for $85,000.00 last year. It had 3,800 miles on it & had been sitting in his father's barn since 1972. It had the 426 Hemi w/4 speed option. Only 19 of the 'Birds sold that year had that option.

I tried for 10 years to get him to refurbished it. It was black, the only black one ever sold from the factory. It would have been a $500,000 car....

I spent a lot of time fixing people that sat in the seats of those (I was an AF Medic, and primary ER and ATH, as well as Pre Ranger medic and EOD range support medic, Nellis AFB)

My ex did want to tell me this as she feared I would yell and scream at her. I am quite a bit older and more calm now than I was in my youth Anyway The roof of the garage caved in at the house where I use to live and inside was my 68 mustang fastback and a 66 mustang coupe. I have not been there yet to see If I should cry or not.

Harry, I'm sorry I just re-read your post....Fuck me man, I'd be balling my eyes out. Dood....my sincerest condolences. It's like losing a member of the family, only worse...you actually love the cars. Still man, I'm really sorry.

I was at the house Yesterday and there is no way to assess the possible damage to the cars yet. You cant open any of the doors to get inside. Insurance adjuster was there but could only take pictures at this point.

I would not have to worry about road rage then.
It is cruel, you know, that music should be so beautiful. It has the beauty of loneliness of pain: of strength and freedom. The beauty of disappointment and never-satisfied love. The cruel beauty of nature and everlasting beauty of monotony. - Benjamen Britten
