a surprising $3 find at HPB this week. VG+; plays nicely after a cleanup on the VPI.

Haydn's symphonies numbers 101 & 104 - Orchester of St. Luke's while also enjoying a Rocky Patel Fifteenth Anniversary Edge and some of North Carolina's finest. LIFE IS GOOD.

Re: What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?

Etta James - The Second Time Around
(1961, Argo) MONO

Image

the record is VG with lots of visible light scratches but actually plays ok without much surface noise on the inner tracks. It's too bad this is a thin sounding recording and would much rather hear real R&B backing than the cheezy string arrangements but the nice & gritty Etta vocals are here. a recent 50cent pickup.
