BUYERS AND SELLERS BEWARE!

There's a seller on eBay right now, trying once again to sell an unsigned 300WPC Carver stereo amp and calling it a 600 WPC amp.
I have already established through the Sunfire help line that this isn't a 600 watt signature but must be a 300 Watt stereo amp and have been in communication with this guy about it and he knows. He was all apologetic and innocent about it all...
Yet here it is again, offered as the 600 watt into 8 ohm load invariant amp.
Wonder what his wide eyed innocent excuse will be this time. Mind it's only a 3 day auction. Trying to banzai it out, looks like.

It seems like this just happened not too long ago. He originally listed the same amp for the same price as a 300x2, now he changed the listing so it appears to be a 600x2?

In the former post I forgot this important detail (How could I F*** that up?) :
I got the serial # from the seller, and had the Sunfire rep look it up. As that rep put it, sometimes odd things happen on the assembly line and in labeling, so there's no guarantees in life, but as he assured me, the Sunfire records definitely show it as a 300-2.

ps: Another nugget he shared with me while chatting about the question I'd raised, of the signature perhaps being rubbed off with Windex, was a little vignette about a guy who was away for a while, whose mom thought she'd do him a favor and clean the dust off his precious audio equipment.
(How many well meaning moms have gotten down to business while now grown up son is off at college, and cleaned up his room for him, throwing out all those trappings of childhood including the mint Action Comics#1 sealed in plastic, the signed Gretzky rookie card...? This was one of those moms...).
She used not Windex, but another cleaning agent whose properties did act as a solvent on Bob Carvers gold signature pen.
Yup, she cleaned it all up and scrubbed that silly graffiti right off his amp, clean as a whistle.

Except that he wasn't laughing when he saw it again.

I bought a like new SF 600-2 from a guy who put his TWO on Audigon. Both were they same, except one had Bob's name washed off a little. He priced that one cheaper, and it was gone before I bought mine, but the extra $$$ for BOB's signature was a bargain to me. Vintage is part of what we pay for and enjoy. Actually, in my system, I can't see it, but I like knowing it is there.

I don't have one George but in my limited knowledge around $ 700-$750 in good shape is the current going rate.
