That is interesting. Wouldn't surprise me, but interesting none the less. :-k

Here's one reason that may explain the delay in funds arrival:

An astute seller does not trust PayPal. I've been screwed by them before, and I will not consider a payment to be received until the time that the money actually hits my BANK ACCOUNT, not my PAYPAL account.

If a seller has automated transfers from his PayPal account to his bank account, the arrival in his PayPal account may be instant, but it will still take several days for the funds to arrive in the bank account.

I guess some of the discrepancy may be whether people consider the transaction to be completed when money arrives in a PayPal account or when cash arrives in-hand. To me, the transaction is completed only when I remove the money from the bank account that I use for PayPal and I have cash in-hand.

Thanks Bob.

OK, now things are starting to clear up for me. The seller, bless his heart, that I am dealing with has a foreign accent that is hard to decipher sometimes, but from what I gathered from him, what you just posted and what I kinda didn't quite understand / deciphered from him makes sense. This cat has an excellent E-Pray rating and his feedback dating even WAY back is even more impressive.

Still, why the holdup? Money aside, I should have had tunes last Wednesday!
That's what earks me the most. Ever since Mother Nature decided to send me a massage via a lightning bolt, I have been without tunes. [again] Damnit. ](*,)

When I had my afore mentioned delays with Paypal I could log into my account and see the transaction was listed as on hold. There was no reason I could see for it.......had the funds in my account already, but the transaction took Paypal 4 or 5 days to process on their end. I wouldn't use them at all if it weren't that so many people already do.
