Silver Speaker wiring diagram

Hello all, I’m in need of a wiring diagram for a pair of silver speakers. Does anyone know where to find this animal?

Re: Silver Speaker wiring diagram

You need to know how the crossover is wired or how to wire the speakers to the crossover? With Silvers, the speaker banks are in phase, so the three 16Ω woofers are in series (5.33Ω). The ribbon is about 3.6Ω.

Re: Silver Speaker wiring diagram

Do you have Mk.IVs? The Silver crossover went through a pot load of iterations, so it could be any one of a dozen designs. Some designs lasted only a couple of DAYS!

Bill
Thanks for responding so fast, here’s what’s going on. I had Rolland rebuild my cross over’s and put them in and had to put new wire in same size same length the old stuff was falling apart they sound great just wanted to double check my work. The funny thing is I can bi-wire these in about a half hour per speaker if I wanted … the cross over’s must me one of the latter builds. Not sure what version these are any help would be great. These are oak with single binding post on the back. Here is a link to what been going on.

Re: Silver Speaker wiring diagram

The picture I posted was Rev J of the Silvers. That's the last Rev. (ECO #1087 on 5/22/89 changed R1 and added R2, R4 and R5). As that schematic is drawn, the red binding posts could be jumpered together to be used as a sinble pair of binding posts (the blacks are shown jumpered).
