New surrounds for woofers (non carver)

"Around the sound" in Seattle does great work. I've had numerous Klipsch speakers re-coned there over the years. The guy has been in business over 30 years.

Did you end up calling him? It's been awhile since I've had anything through there but as he was filing my last order I asked him how many speakers he's re-coned over the years. He looked at his paperwork and said roughly 14x,xxx! Can't remember the exact number but over 140,000 drivers!

Parts Express also does them, never had experience with them, but it looks inexpensive and likely solid work. You can buy the kits for many speakers too and do it yourself. With those awesome amps you have, better use extra glue:)

I called and shipped the woofs off monday. We tested the DQ-10's and all drivers are working These things have been setting in my garage for over 10yrs and I didnt even know if they would work. They were going to be thrown away when found in a storage closet in my church. Been doing alot of cleanup/sanding and varnish etc. Those pesky exposed crossovers required a toothbrush and q-tips for cleanup.

Congrats!! I've had them service several Klipsch woofers over the years, always a great job and excellent service.

Thanks, they definately eat up alot of power compared to the 9's. Very smooth sound and they bring out a little more detail than what Im used to.

Made some stands to set them on.
