Making Progress from Hurricane Irma flooding

Post by Don » Thu Dec 14, 2017 5:59 pm

Just got Mom back in this afternoon after 3 long months. Just about a total clean out from flooding. She also lost her Lincoln do to flooding. However, not a big deal with the car because we didn't allow her to drive anyway. However, lot of keepsakes which were very dear to her were lost. Irma flooding did a number on Flagler Beach. Caught everyone by surprise.

Mom's home was priority. Now can concentrate on rentals and our residence. Was able to put one rental back together and got tenant back in a couple of weeks ago. No flooding at our residence because we built to a higher elevation than the city required. However, storm surge damage to dock (separated in 3 pieces) and wind damage to usual gingerbread items, but no structural damage.

Sorry been awol. Missed many birthdays. Will check in from time to time. Life still upside for a couple more months. Hope all in well with everyone in Carverland.

Don, thanks for checking in. Glad to see you got your mum back in her place and things seem to be moving forward for you. Keep us posted and look in once in a while. Take a look at the amp build page too, good stuff there. Hope to see you in 2018

Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
