CARVERaudio.com 2.0 The rebirth of a website

Post by Toy Maker » Fri Apr 15, 2011 3:09 pm

http://www.carveraudio.com

I hope everyone takes a few minutes to explore the new website.
We have spent countless hours re-working the new site, in hopes to bring all Carver enthusiasts as much information as possible.

A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to Alex-TDT in Romania tdt@thedirtchamber.com for all his time effort and expertise into making the new site a reality.

Alex has been a BLAST to work with !!! A 1/2 crazy sarcastic SOB, and ALWAYS FUN to work with !!!! I have to give him some serious props for taking on this project, and guiding me as he went.
Not only can he build the shit out of a website, he's one hell of a Producer too!!!
Here is the last song he remixed.

Forum members will enjoy this.....

Thank YOU for making it happen. I think members will really like the new features you have worked so hard at. I'll shut up about what they are and let the members find out as we go along.

You deserve a standing ovation, brother!

I like this dark/evil look.
For the last few days I had to switch back to the other as it would not let me post. It seems to be working now.

I am sure there is a learning process.
I suppose I can figure it all out, but I am lazy.

James, most here are years older than you. I happen to be blessed with good vision and teeth, but how do I make the font here the same as on the other. This is kinda too small.
I don't mean the posting, but reading posts when people complain about my posts.

Hmmm, could it be in your computer system preferences maybe? The font size is exactly the same on the dark side as it was originally. I don't know what to tell ya' Bill.

As far as the black screen goes....it sucks. I changed mine back immediatly.

As far as the rest of the new features...what are they?

Don't misunderstand me. The Forum is beyond fine just as it is but I didn't notice anything else changed beside the dark screen (which I didn't care for).

Just my .02

Frankie, the forum is the same with only a couple of things changed that most here wouldn't ever notice. The big change is in the main website page. Do yourself a favor and scroll back up to the first post and click on the big link to the new Carver website. I'm quite sure that you will find that many things have changed, without a doubt.

Anyone that wants larger text in their web browsers, go to your VIEW tab in your browser... you can ZOOM IN, in most browsers.
It will make EVERYTHING larger for you, and you can always change it back any time you want.

Now you can see the reasoning behind changing the forums default theme. It was designed to match the new website.
All NEW people coming to the site/forum for the 1st time, will all see a site, and forum that matches, and is much more professional looking.

Damn, it is linked to the sales on ebay.

I like that.
On the other hand that is going to drive up prices unless we all make a pact to honor DIBBS .

That works.
On a PC you can also just hold down "ctrl" and scroll.
On the other hand, why can't it just be the same size as the blue version?
