cd players

howdy again, I am courious about being in need of a new player. I currently have a NAD 5240 and wondering if I am just making things up in my head or a real concern. I do not pick up back ground noise on other peices but when I just played the full version..In-a -gadda-da-vida there seems to a lot of static background noise...any imputs would help.

Avoid playing Iron Butterfly... ... just kiddin! No clue?

Rush, I'm a fan and listen to them and Captain Beyond frequently. If you only hear static on that cd player and it plays fine on another one, I'd say it was the player.
