Hello from British Columbia, Canada

Hi there, everyone. I'm happy to be here among other Carver enthusiasts and look froward to soaking up all the knowledge I can.

My story: I am a middle aged total rookie when it comes to audio and am still using a JVC system I bought as a teenager. I recently lucked into a pair of mint condition Carver Silver amazing speakers, and just purchased a Carver tfm-45 off eBay that I haven't received yet. Next step is to find a Carver CT-17 with remote in great shape so I can finally hear these speakers sing. If anybody has some insight into this system I'd be grateful to hear it. For the time being I'll just use a Technics five disc CD changer and my old JVC turntable as input devices, although I would like to be able to plug in my iPhone on occasion.

Cheers,
Mike

The Silvers are the only speakers I've owned that really gave my Klipsch Chorus II's a run for the money, damn fine speakers! The TFM-45 / CT-17 combo is what my late uncle Bob bought new back in the '80s and that really peaked my interest in this hobby. Its been pretty much been Carver (Sunfire) and Klipsch for me and I couldn't be happier.
