New to the Forum

Post by SteveMKentucky » Mon Apr 06, 2015 8:02 pm

Just a post to say hello and to introduce myself. I am a minor audiophile who has owned a number of systems over the last 45 years or so.

I own a Carver 900 receiver that I bought in Pensacola Florida where I served in the Navy. I've moved to a new house in the country and am in the process of setting up my system again. In addition to the 900 I have a Realistic Pro Lab 400 turntable and am looking for speakers.

I registered for this forum in order to see if I can participate in the Carver Fest Speaker Build. However, I'm finding that I can't PM and my posts take days to appear. I guess that's not uncommon for newly registered 'members' so will stand-by.

Standing by.

Welcome, Steve!

if I'm not mistaken, there are restrictions on newbies for the first several posts--it's a SPAM prevention measure. Be patient & participate in the madness...things will free up soon!

Chris,

I live in South Central Kentucky between Scottsville and Glasgow. I'm about 40 minutes from Bowling Green.

My mother lives in Cincinnati though (Silverton) so I get up there every few weeks. I usually visit Findlay Market to stock up on Mettwurst!

Great! PM when you head up next. I am from Covington, but live on the East side of Cincy.

Sounds like we have enough Tri-state people to get a small audio party together!
