Nope. I have been creating and gathering information for this master list for 9 years now. Thought I would be kind enough to share it with the Carver forum members. So, here it is.

You posted some of this info a while back on another thread didn't you? I'm REALLY glad to see it updated though.

Re: Tubes - The Master List - Cross reference and tweaks -

HELP!!!!

Maybe you guys can help me out. I inherited some of my fathers' audio equipment one of those pieces is a Superior International 'Rapid Tube Tester' model 820. I've found the test guide on the 'bay for a model 20, but can't find one for the 820. The model 20 looks exactly like the 820. Should I give it a try?

Do any of those tube links also have top plate panels available? Under tutelage I can probably manage the soldering and assembly, but machining a plate is beyond my skill and toolset.

Hello, John. I honestly do not know. This has been my personal list for tube suppliers, not parts. I recall perhaps a few links that sold those but it has been so long since I saw them, I couldn't even point you in the right direction anymore. Sorry, wish I could have been a little more helpful with your inquiry.

Hey, Ray. I haven't found out any information about the tube tester. Have you been able to find any online manuals for the settings or do you have a hard copy?

Re: Tubes - The Master List - Cross reference and tweaks -

Tom, I have neither. The book was so old when my Mother picked it up it fell apart, so she threw it out. ](*,) So here I am looking for one on the 'net. It would have been nice to have at least see it so I had a slight idea what I'm looking for.

John, let me do some looking. I found something like that but IIRC it was for an EL84 rig like the CF amps, gimme a bit.

Tom

Tom, I ran the disc tonight and tested all of my tubes. Took a long freeking time. Funny, the 50 yr old Telefunkens tested better than any of the NEW Chinese or Russian tubes. EIs kicked ass too!! Lindals ran mid 90s, Teles high 90s. Keep in mind my tester is almost 70 years old.
