Chuck Norris reaches through the monitor and grabs it by the scruff of the neck!
Failing that, they do 50 posts here to cut down on the riff raff or you can do a search on Google and snag one for 20 bucks or thereabouts.
I say stick around, fun bunch and you'll learn a shitload.

Welcome to the forum Mr. Norris.
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

The best way to enjoy digital music reproduction is to never listen to a good analogue reproduction.

I'm looking for help about this issue for long time, hoping you can help me with it.
My amp is a Carver PM950 but it shares the same manual with the PM700, so maybe someone here can help me too.
As it says in the user manual the bridged mono mode is not to be used for loads lower than 8 ohms and my speaker has 4 ohms of impendance.
I suppose I need to use the parallel mono mode though.
Reading in my manual of the PM950 for setting it into the Parallel Mono mode told me to contact the Carver Technical Service to get the Field
Application Bulletin pm700-1. This should describe the simple procedureof modyfing the amp.
How is this parallel mode to be enabled? (I only saw 3 options with the internal switch: Bridged, Normal, and Dual Mode) and how is the PM950 to be set correctly?

Best Regards,
