OK, so I just picked up that Lightstar preamp that was on eBay. No remote comes with it. Any ideas? Also, the chassis looks a little battered. How can that be spiffed up?

Glad you picked that up! PM me and I'll help you with programming a remote. Without that, the unit is useless. Congrats on joining the group!!!

Looks like number 8 to me. That matches up great with amp number 9...

huh, the first number is the year. so the #9 amp in 94 while the #8 amp in 95 and then snoops amp that was in 95 as well that is a #9. hmmmm....does this mean that they are numbered from zero up each year?.....

Got my PRH-2 remote in the mail today from Kingman. A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to him. I have not hooked anything up other than power yet but it does light up and switch between sources. The chassis is in rough shape, lots of scratches some deeper than others. I don't care to much though right now. I have a lightstar preamp to match my amp.....

OK, yes it is after midnight. No, I am not tired. I did however just test the three RCA inputs on the preamp. The woman is asleep so there was no rocking out but all three input channels function properly. The only problem I have right now is that my current rack setup will not hold both the amp and the preamp. I guess it's time to build the new one.
