Re: Lightstar Owner Registration
So, I have been having an issue lately in my setup with my right channel cutting out. I have narrowed it down. It is the amp. I have swapped out every cable, taken the preamp out, everything. I am very worried and not sure what to do. Any advice?

I believe Vintage Hi-Fi of Pittsburgh is closer to you. Call Tom around 6 pm M- Sa and see when he can get to it. As far as the chip.... no I haven't and doubt I will be able to find anyone to do it .natektronic wrote:So, I have been having an issue lately in my setup with my right channel cutting out. Re: Lightstar Owner Registration
Bent Audio has a remote system that covers all of the functions that the Lightstar remote covers. It 'might' work. Integrating it into the system will be problematic and require someone who knows alot about the Lightstar Direct Pres.natektronic wrote:Still waiting. I think they were built in 94 and 95 only. The lightstar is an experimental crossover from a TFM-75 to the Sunfire 300x2 from what I can make of it.nemodog wrote:My Lightstar serial number is 9512040014

Re: Lightstar Owner Registration
It's actually a unique design to itself. Peter Ledermann was started explaining it to me a few weeks ago when I visited Sound Smith. He wanted to know how my amp was running since he last worked on it in 2007. He's really impressed with how neutral the Lightstar is. He even explained Bob's other designs against the Lightstar.MRHP wrote:I think they were built in 94 and 95 only. Peter Ledermann is a bright guy. His knowledge goes well beyond the cartridge work he's so well known for.
Didn't I post here a while back a You-Tube link to a talk he gave on cartridges?
